After level 69, the player should have their desired character build and the leveling rate will be dramatically decreased. This is implemented to give the player a stronger sense for the RPG aspect of the game, and will allow the player to better appreciate which perks they pick for their character. Some of the perks themselves have been modified to either incorporate the changes to the guns or to give them a buff necessary to survival mode. Learn more about perks on the Perks tab of the site.

In survival mode, the player receives 200% damage instead of 300% damage. This is because the damage of all guns have been increased, been given bleeding effects and armor penetration.

Early in a playthrough, the player will have very low health and will want to seriously avoid getting shot. Enemies will have only enough health to survive a single shot, but this will change as the player levels up and ventures into harder areas.

Guns have been renamed appropriately to reflect the role they provide, for instance, the gun originally named "Assault Rifle" is now called the "LMG". Ammunition types of guns have been changed accordingly as well. To learn more about guns and receiver changes, checkout the Guns & Receivers tab of the site.

Carry weight for the player and followers has also been increased due to the major weight changes to ammunition and weapons. Power armor also increases the player's carry weight an additional 100 lbs. more than before.

Prepare yourself for the most intense experience with the Ballistic Realism mod for Fallout 4. This mod targets the player experience by taking real life data from ballistic ammunition and formulating a realistic representation of damage, armor penetration, bleeding caused, and the weights of guns and ammo. All of the games perks, armor, guns, and gun receiver mods have been fine tuned for this reason. Do you have what it takes to play this mod on survival?

It is highly suggested that you play this mod on survival mode for the best experience. You must start a new game to have the gun receiver changes take effect, as they will not affect guns that have already been loaded on previous playthroughs. If you have DLC’s, the load order should go as follows: Base Game, Automaton, Nuka-World, then Far Harbor. This is because Far Harbor adds a new ammunition type, unique to lever action gun, and the mod updates the spawn of this ammunition type outside of Far Harbor.

The player experience gain has been modified to streamline leveling up and getting the perks a player wants.
